I have mainly positive views when it comes to using the internet for research uses. Students can use search engines and look for .edu or .gov sites which are "safe" to use. Students can also find interesting applications to make their projects stick out. The negatives about internet is that kids think they can get away with plagiarism or think they can. Students might also be distracted by facebook or myspace and not really work on their assignments.
Another another way to use web based resources is through distant learning. Distant learning is for students who can not attend school on a daily bases. This is an interactive television that attaches to the Internet and you are able to have a teacher actually teach you lessons in what you need. You can record yourself and have your students watch on their own time and do the lessons themselves. This is a good idea because the students will be at home and can hopefully remember the lesson to do their homework.
I do not think I will have much trouble watch students with the computer. I want to teach first grade so they will not really know fully how to use the computer. But I would have a major concern about copy right laws but they wouldnt really be doing assignments like that anyways
