1.My prior experiences using technology come to mind as mediocre. I do not excel with technology but I get the just of it to finish the task at hand for the most part. Personally I tend to use technology as little as possible in my daily life. Most of the time when computer teachers talk 'computer' I feel as though they are speaking in another language and usually ask for help until I sort of understand. I enjoy simple things and technology is everything but simple.
2.One major thing I hope to learn from this class is little tricks that make typing and looking for things on the computer easier than they are now. I really hope to learn about other programs - all I know really is PowerPoint and Microsoft word. I hope to understand some of the vocabulary so I don't seem completely useless my future bosses. And most importantly I want to feel confident when I am using a computer or another type of technology.
3.The questionnaire taught me that I am more of an active learner than a reflective learner, but I did have a 1 on the active side which says I am fairly well balanced in both. Which means I like to apply information or discuss it to others but I can also think about it to myself. The questionnaire also says I am more of a sensing learner than a intuitive learner but again I received a 3 on on the sensing side which means I am well balanced at both. So basically I usually like to learn facts but at times I can prefer to discover the possibilities as an intuitive learner. Also, I was more verbal than visual but again I had a 1 on the verbal side which means I Can retain information from reading and hearing but also from seeing. Lastly I was a sequential learner but this time I was a 9 so I am definitely only a sequential learner. This means I like to go step by step logically to find my answer.

I am also a very strong sequential learner and got a 9 too! However, I'm not as neutral as you in other topics. I think it's good that you're fairly neutral, so you can easily adapt to learning styles.
ReplyDeleteMeg, I totally agree with you girl!!! I dont like things that are so complex. I like the simple things in life! Although, I know we need to understand these things for the future in our field of work!
ReplyDeleteHope things will get easier for you!!!!!
